A woman was killed and a teen hospitalized after a hit-and-run driver mowed the pair down in Brooklyn, police said.
The two pedestrians were crossing Mermaid Avenue at West 24th Street in Coney Island when they were struck by a red pickup truck at around 8:50 p.m. Friday, cops said.
The driver sped off westbound on Mermaid Avenue, police said.
The woman, Tamika Richards, 41, was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.
An 18-year-old man was taken to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn in stable condition, police said. His name was not released.
There were no arrests.
