Where to Stream:

Adults

More On:

Hulu

When the end credits roll on the Season 1 finale of FX’s Adults, fans of the fresh but familiar ensemble comedy will be left wanting to spend more time with Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao), and Anton (Owen Thiele).

So has FX renewed Adults for Season 2? Or is this the end of our time with this chaotic group of roomies?

The series, created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, may have dropped its entire first season on Hulu on May 29, but episodes are also set to premiere weekly on FX until June 18. When the coming-of-age comedy wraps its broadcast run, can we expect more Adults antics in the future?

Curious if FX canceled or renewed Adults for a Season 2? Wondering how Adults Season 1 ended and what Adults Season 2 could look like? How many episodes will be in Adults Season 2? And when is the Adults Season 2 premiere date?

Here’s everything to know about the future of FX’s Adults.

As of Adults Season 1’s FX premiere date (May 28) and its Hulu premiere date (May 29), the series has yet to be renewed for a Season 2. But that’s not to say a renewal isn’t still possible. Though Season 1 dropped in full on Hulu already, episodes are set to air weekly on FX until June 18. So there’s a chance that FX is waiting to see how the series performs via streaming and broadcast before announcing its fate.

Ahead of its premiere, Adults had a fairly solid 76% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, so stay tuned to see if viewers agree with critics.

Since Adults has yet to be renewed yet, there’s no official Season 2 premiere date. That said, based on other FX series like The Bear, it’s likely that the comedy would aim for a new season each year. If so, fans could likely expect new episodes in 2026.

The beauty of an ensemble comedy like Adults is that a roomie/coming-of-age series offers a wealth of potential storylines. As we saw in Season 1, Adults Season 2 would continue to follow the daily lives of Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton as they navigate careers, romantic relationships, and the endless challenges of adulthood. But the Season 1 finale also saw Paul Baker and Anton get married, so we’d definitely explore the aftermath of that twist in greater depth. The move was designed to save Paul Baker from having to move back to Canada, but Issa and friends clearly clocked the genuine chemistry between the two roomies when they kissed, so could some in-house drama await in Season 2?
