Season 2 of the Max crime drama Tokyo Vice kicked off in February, and just aired its tenth and final episode on Thursday (April 4).

The series stars Ansel Elgort as Jake Adelstein, the real-life American journalist whose book — titled Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat In Japan — “loosely inspired” the show, per Max’s synopsis.

Elgort stars alongside Ken Watanabe‘s Hiroto Katagiri, a police detective he joins forces with over the course of the series. The cast also features the talents of Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Show Kasamatsu, Ayumi Ito, Miki Maya, and Yosuke Kubozuka.

Decider contributor Johnny Loftus encouraged viewers to stream the series in his Tokyo Vice Season 2 review, praising the show as “stylish, mysterious, and full of powerful acting turns that put a sharp edge on its depiction of the places where crime and violence intersect with tradition and ambition.”

A third season of the show has yet to be confirmed. However, in an interview with TheWrap, series creator J.T. Rogers highlighted that he has started mapping out a potential third installment, telling the outlet, “we’ll get to see if we get to make it.” So, not all hope is lost.

Both Seasons 1 and 2 of Tokyo Vice are streaming on Max. The streamer currently has a limited-time offer on annual plans, where prospective customers can pay as low as $69.99/year for a plan with ads. The deal ends on Tuesday, April 9.
