CBS recently released their schedule for the 2025-2026 season, and, friend, there’s a lot to celebrate.
Not only will Luke Grimes reprise his role as Kayce Dutton for a new Yellowstone spinoff series, currently titled Y: Marshals, that’s set to debut Sunday nights in the spring of 2026, but Sheriff Country, a new Morena Baccarin-led spinoff of Fire Country, premieres this fall on the network. But it’s not all good news.
In order to make room for new shows, CBS was forced to bid farewell to a number of fan favorites, including FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. Did Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer also get the axe? Here’s everything you need to know.
Nope. Tonight’s CBS primetime schedule features all-new episodes of Tracker and Watson from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET, followed by a rerun of The Equalizer (Season 5, Episode 8: “Guns and Roses”) at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Unfortunately, The Equalizer has been canceled. Last week’s episode, “Decisions,” served as the series finale.
“It’s not easy to end shows and we had a lot of options this year,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach said when discussing the cancellations of The Equalizer, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International. “The schedule is really full and so we always have to look at all of our shows, look at the aggregate information, the creative of where they are in their life cycle, what the finances look like, what the ratings are, and then we make those tough decisions.”
Nope. CBS canceled The Equalizer after five seasons. Per Deadline, Universal Television has no plans to shop the show to other networks/streamers.
