Another chaotic wellness chapter in Masha Dmitrichenko’s (Nicole Kidman) story has ended, but does the Season 2 finale of Nine Perfect Strangers mark the conclusion of the series as a whole?
The star-studded Hulu show, based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel, was originally marketed as a limited series. But four years after its debut season, Nine Perfect Strangers (led by Kidman’s Masha) returned with a fresh location and another stacked cast, including Henry Golding, Annie Murphy, Mark Strong, Lena Olin, Christine Baranski, Murray Bartlett, and more.
Per Hulu’s official synopsis, Season 2 saw “a new batch of wellness-seekers arrive at a mysterious Alpine resort looking for transformative paths to betterment and happiness. During their stay, the guests partake in unconventional methods to reach their goals, while Masha is forced to confront some past demons … threatening to destroy both her own personal wellness and that of her guests.”
When the end credits roll on the Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 finale, fans will see clear opportunity for a third season. So will there be a Season 3 of Nine Perfect Strangers? And has Hulu officially renewed or canceled the series? Here’s everything to know about the future of Nine Perfect Strangers, including renewal status, potential Season 3 premiere date, and more.
Like Season 1, Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 consisted of eight episodes, which means Season 2, Episode 8, “Never Change,” which premiered on July 2, 2025, served as the sophomore season’s finale.
As of Nine Perfect Strangers’ Season 2 finale date on July 2, 2025, the series had yet to be renewed or canceled by Hulu — but that uncertainty isn’t uncommon for a streaming series. Considering Kidman’s star power and the immense potential that comes with new stacked casts of rotating celebrities each season, the streamer may see Nine Perfect Strangers as a worthy investment. However, considering the reception of the series seemingly dipped during Season 2, with a rotten 46% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes (down from Season 1’s 59%) there’s a chance the series won’t get renewed again. It all depends on viewership and Hulu’s game plan. So stay tuned for updates!

Since Hulu has yet to officially renew Nine Perfect Strangers for a third season, a Season 3 premiere date hasn’t been announced yet. However, looking back, Nine Perfect Strangers Season 1 aired from August 2021 to September 2021, while Season 2 episodes were released from May 2025 to July 2025. The wait in between seasons was extraordinarily long for several reasons, including the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. So if the series is green-lit for Season 3, there will likely be a much quicker turnaround, with another potential late spring or summer premiere date.
