If you find yourself missing ABC’s High Potential, well, you’re not alone.
The Kaitlin Olson-led crime dramedy about a single mom with a high IQ who becomes a consultant for the LAPD is on hiatus, but earlier this year, ABC renewed its freshman hit for a second season of super sleuthing! What exactly can we expect from Season 2? Olson recently told Deadline that she wants to see her character “make mistakes” and would love to do more stuff with the kids.
“I would love to see some more examples of her son and the way that he’s gifted and how that’s challenging for him,” Olson said. “I mean, we touched on it a little bit with friendships at school this past season, but I think that there’s so much to be explored there. Same with Ava and how it’s a struggle for her, maybe, or maybe not. Maybe Ava starts to have a really, really great life and great social life, and that’s enviable to Morgan and Elliot.”
When exactly does High Potential return with new episodes? Here’s everything we know.
Nope. Tonight’s ABC primetime schedule consists of back-to-back-to-back reruns of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET.
The first season of High Potential consists of 13 episodes. The season finale aired February 11, 2025, on ABC.
You bet! Earlier this year, ABC renewed High Potential for Season 2. As we mentioned above, the first season had 13 installments, but Kaitlin Olson recently revealed that Season 2 will consist of more episodes.
No official release date has been announced, but ABC announced that the upcoming season of High Potential will air on Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET. Filming has already started on Season 2, which is expected to debut in September 2025 on ABC.
