It’s been a wild year for fans of modern Western crime dramas. After an eight-year absence, Timothy Olyphant’s beloved U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens returned in Justified: City Primeval, Yellowstone announced that the current season would be the show’s last (although a new spinoff series would likely take its place), and the second season of Joe Pickett debuted on Paramount+.
Starring Michael Dorman (For All Mankind, Patriot) in the titular role, the popular drama about a game warden in the small town of Saddlestring, Wyoming, originally premiered in 2021 as a Spectrum Original before eventually finding its way to Paramount+. An adaptation of C. J. Box’s Joe Pickett novels, the show also stars Julianna Guill, Sharon Lawrence, David Alan Grier, Mustafa Speaks, and Paul Sparks.
The Season 2 finale of Joe Pickett aired in July, so what does the future hold for the series? Will there be a Season 3 of Joe Pickett on Paramount+? Here’s everything you need to know.
The second season of Joe Pickett consists of eight episodes, with the season finale premiering on July 30, 2023.
Sadly, no. On October 31, it was announced that Paramount+ had canceled the series after two seasons.
You can watch Joe Pickett on Paramount+ ($5.99/month) or Paramount+ with Showtime ($11.99/month and includes a CBS live stream ). Paramount+ offers a free trial for eligible subscribers.
If you’re missing Joe Pickett, Decider highly recommends Graham Yost’s beloved modern Western Justified, which is now streaming on Hulu. Yellowstone (Peacock), 1883 (Paramount+), 1923 (Paramount+), and Longmire (Netflix and Peacock) will also fill that Joe Pickett-shaped hole in your streaming schedule.
