NextImg:Will Levis’ fantasy football league had gross last-place hot dog punishment

We’ve all heard some brutal fantasy football last-place punishments such as signing up for a marathon, taking an SAT or ACT test, or being stranded in an IHOP for 24 hours where only eating pancakes can reduce the time.

However, Will Levis’ league might take the cake for the worst to date.

The Titans rookie quarterback was asked about his 12-year fantasy football background, and the last-place punishment that comes with it.

Last year, it involved hot dogs.

“Last one was we had to make him eat a whole pack, I think, a dozen uncooked hotdogs,” Levis told NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry. “Go on Instagram Live and eat them in front of everybody.”

Like any good fantasy league, there was some controversy.

“We felt like that was a good one,” said Levis, a man whose enjoyment of mayonnaise in his coffee and eating bananas with the peel on them is well documented, “but he didn’t man up and do it.”

Levis mentioned each season they cannot always get the loser to commit to the punishment, and while this year was one of those years, he may have inspired others for the upcoming season.

The former Kentucky quarterback was selected by the Titans in the second round with the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after missing a first-round call days after he made headlines when a Reddit rumor drastically upped his odds to go No. 1 at multiple sportsbooks.

His unexpected extended time in the green room with his family and girlfriend Gia Duddy went viral, as cameras caught Levis continuously checking his phone for any incoming calls or messages.

Despite his slip of a start, Levis is adjusting to his new NFL life with the help of Tom Brady at a career advice lunch and fellow rookie bonding time alongside Duddy at the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Levis will be the third-string quarterback for the Titans under the wing of veteran Ryan Tannehill and second-year pro Malik Willis, but Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said there will be a competition between the three of them.

“Ryan will be the starting quarterback on Monday,” Vrabel said. “Malik will be the backup. Will will be the third quarterback. And what I’ve told them is whatever happens after that will be up to the players. That’s what it’s always been here. That’s what we always want it to be.”

“That’s our job is to bring in competition at every position,” Vrabel added. “It’s not a secret. I hope that by now that everybody understands that we have to prove our value to this football team each and every day.”
