Wild video shows the moment a reckless moped rider plowed into an NYPD cop who tried to stop him for running a red light in Brooklyn, according to police.
Brandynn Davis, 26, allegedly whizzed through a red light at Division Street and Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg around 10:15 p.m. and kept going for about four blocks before cops flagged him down, authorities said.
The officers got out of their cruiser to approach Davis at South 8th and Berry streets — but instead of stopping, he revved the engine and drove up onto the sidewalk toward the cops, police said.
Footage obtained by Williamsburg News shows the motorist then driving back from the sidewalk onto the street – just as two pedestrians were crossing at the intersection.
One of the pedestrians can be seen speeding up to avoid the wild driver.
Davis then allegedly strikes the officer head-on at the crosswalk, knocking the cop to the ground, the clip shows.
The collision prompted the driver to lose control of his ride and topple to the ground – at which point other officers surrounded him and he was taken into custody, according to police and the video.
The injured officer was treated by responding EMS workers at the scene.
Meanwhile, Davis — whose address is listed as a food distribution center in Bedford-Stuyvesant — was slapped with a laundry list of charges, including assault on a police officer, possession of burglar tools, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance and without a helmet, riding an unregistered motorcycle, failure to obey a traffic device and driving a motor vehicle on or across a sidewalk, cops said.
