I made it through four weeks this year before I visited the Tankathon website to see where the Jets’ draft position was. It is an annual tradition to start looking ahead to the NFL Draft when it becomes clear the Jets are not going to the playoffs.

This year, they did not even keep it interesting until October.

At 0-4, it is clear this season is going nowhere and it’s fair to start dreaming about draft picks for Jets fans, as depressing as that may be. The Jets have a soft schedule, so there are winnable games, but right now the Jets need to clean up their play in order to beat anybody.

Tankathon shows the Jets picking No. 2 right now, behind only the Saints. I don’t think the Jets will actually be picking that high. They are going to win some games, which brings me to my plea for Jets fans this week.
