NextImg:Why Melissa, Joe Gorga didn’t let niece Gia Giudice stay at their beach house

There’s always more to the story — especially in Jersey.

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” fans were outraged after Teresa Giudice claimed that Melissa Gorga once refused to let her niece Gia Giudice stay at her and husband Joe Gorga’s Jersey Shore house.

But a source tells Page Six exclusively that “the reason she said no is because it was on a weekend where Joe and Melissa were not going to be at the house.”

Our insider claims that Gia, 22, “wanted to stay there with a couple of friends” back when she was “underage.”

But we’re told the Gorgas “didn’t feel comfortable” lending their home to the Rutgers University student with “no adult supervision.”

“They obviously love Gia,” our source insists. “If Joe or Melissa — just one adult — was at their house, they would have let her stay.”

The topic came up during Tuesday night’s episode of the reality series while Teresa and husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas were staying at co-star Jennifer Aydin’s Jersey Shore house.

When Aydin asked whether Teresa had “ever stayed at [her] brother’s beach house,” she replied, “No, never.”

“Gia asked to stay there once and Melissa said no,” the mother of four added, which shocked Aydin, new “Housewife” Danielle Cabral and the viewers at home.

“I wanna be around people that love us,” Teresa told her castmates-turned-friends. “Like, I feel like you guys are happy for us.”

The remark came a few episodes after Joe, Teresa’s only brother, bailed on going to her and Ruelas’ housewarming party after yet another blowout fight.

Melissa, 44, chose to show up solo but wound up in tears after Teresa, 50, made it a point to call those in attendance her “chosen family.”

The trio will continue to feud throughout the currently airing 13th season, which ultimately leads to the Gorgas deciding to skip out on Teresa and Ruelas’ August 2022 wedding.

Melissa and Joe are parents to daughter Antonia, 17, as well as sons Gino, 15, and Joey, 12.

Meanwhile, Teresa shares daughters Gia, Gabriella, 18, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 13, with ex-husband Joe Giudice.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
