


School’s out for summer? More like, The View‘s out for summer! If you were wondering why ABC is playing reruns of the hit daytime talk show, then look no further. We have you covered on everything you need to know about when The View is coming back!
The last time we saw Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin was on Friday (Aug. 4) when they were celebrating the end of yet another successful season. The View, which was created by the late Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie in 1997, has been going strong for 26 years.
So, why exactly is The View off the air today? When will it be back with new episodes?

It’s officially summer break for the View co-hosts. Since Season 26 wrapped up last week, the panel is currently on a scheduled hiatus. In place of the live broadcast, reruns of previous episodes will air in their place.

The View currently has reruns scheduled through Monday, Sept. 4, 2023 — meaning the ladies should be back with new episodes the following day on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
The View might not be airing new episodes for the rest of the month, but ABC will be playing reruns, meaning you can catch up on anything you might’ve missed!
Here’s the lineup of episodes that will air this week while the ladies are taking their break, courtesy of ABC. It should be noted that the episodes are subject to change.

Tuesday, Aug. 8 — originally aired June 13, 2023— Jesse Tyler Ferguson; Ken Jennings
Wednesday, Aug. 9 — originally aired June 14, 2023 — Gabrielle Union; Pamela Dias, mother of Ajike Shatrell Owens who was allegedly fatally shot by her neighbor, joined by attorney Anthony Thomas
Thursday, Aug. 10 — originally aired June 15, 2023 — Hannah Waddingham; The View celebrates Alyssa Farah Griffin’s birthday
Friday, Aug. 11 — originally aired June 6, 2023 — Lala Kent; performance from Broadway’s & Juliet
