The View has had a difficult time managing its co-hosts this week—and it’s only Tuesday! First, Sara Haines was out on jury duty for Monday’s (Sept. 29) episode. While she returned to the Hot Topics table today, her seat neighbor Whoopi Goldberg was noticeably absent instead, leaving only four of the five women to break down the latest in pop culture and politics.
The last time Goldberg was on the show was Monday, when actor Tim Allen jokingly yelled at her for not telling him he had lipstick on his face until the very end of their interview. With Goldberg out this morning, Joy Behar took her place as moderator (a role she takes over every Friday when Goldberg is typically off). Seated beside her was Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin—but no Ana Navarro, who only appears on the show on Mondays and Fridays.
So, why wasn’t Goldberg on this morning’s episode of The View? And when will she be back? Luckily, we have the answers to your burning questions. Keep reading for more information.
According to Behar, Goldberg called out sick from The View this morning. “Get better soon and come back, Whoopi. We miss you,” the comedian said at the top of the broadcast.

We’re not sure when Goldberg will be back on The View. If we’re lucky, she’ll hopefully be feeling better in time for Wednesday’s taping!
