Taylor Frankie Paul turned MomTok on its side when she revealed that she and her husband had been soft-swinging with their other Mormon friends back in 2022. Taylor’s confession led to the creation of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu — and while none of her Season 1 co-stars partook in their shocking antics, Season 2 finally introduces us to a wife who did: Miranda McWhorter, who, like Taylor, divorced her husband Chase McWhorter after the scandal went viral. That makes Makenna “Kenna” Gibbons (formerly Rowley) the only remaining wife from their small group of soft-swingers who still has yet to join the record-breaking reality show.

In a September 2024 episode of Nick Viall‘s Viall Files podcast, Taylor revealed that she and her ex-husband Tate Paul had been soft-swinging with two other couples in the Mormon community. While she didn’t specify any names at the time, the other two couples have since come out about their participation in wife-swapping, including Miranda and Chase — who tell a bit of their story on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 — as well as Kenna and her now ex-husband Brayden Rowley.

According to Taylor’s timeline of events, she and Tate allegedly had an “open marriage” with Miranda and Chase. It started with the wives making out, then it turned into the wives making out in lingerie, and then it “escalated” from there. They would also play games like Spin the Bottle, where the wives would be blindfolded and have to guess which husband they were kissing. The dynamic lasted “a while” with the “girls kissing and the husbands touching the other wives,” per Taylor’s recollection, and it wasn’t until almost a year later that they invited Kenna and Brayden into their group.

However, things got complicated when Taylor and Brayden ultimately had an affair, which led to the end of both of their marriages. Kenna publicly broke her silence when she told her side of the story in a since-deleted series of TikTok videos in November 2024, per Mamamia.

Kenna said she and her ex-husband met Couple One (allegedly Taylor and Tate) at a Valentine’s Day party in February 2022 and within two weeks, they had joined in on the drunken party games — which led to the former couple making a promise never to participate in the games unless the other is there. When they all went away on a cabin trip, Couple One (allegedly Taylor and Tate) walked in on Kenna and Brayden making out in their room and they swapped partners for the first time.

After that, Kenna said she noticed some chemistry between Brayden and Taylor — and when she confronted him about it, he confessed to having a conversation with the MomTok creator about their feelings for each other potentially growing. However, they both decided that they were happy in their marriages and didn’t want to go down that route.

Kenna said she was the one to put an end to the soft-swinging after the second incident occurred, telling her husband, “If this is what you want, we can divorce now, because I won’t participate any longer. I don’t feel right. I was so ashamed of my decisions.” She later found out that Brayden and Taylor had allegedly been “meeting up” at Home Depot and “told each other that they loved one another and that they had plans to leave their spouses.”

Following Kenna’s five-part post, Taylor clapped back, claiming her former friend was more into the soft-swinging than she let on.

“She never asked to stop, she was one of the instigators, and sent HER husband to get me, but tell your side sis,” Taylor captioned her TikTok, before sharing a video of the two of them kissing and a text, seemingly from Kenna, that read, “I’m drunk and I wish I was kissing you.”

Taylor doubled down on her claims in another TikTok video, alleging Kenna “did enjoy” the soft-swinging “and she never wanted to stop.” She also responded to Kenna’s accusation that she and Brayden had shared I love yous. “I’ve already admitted and apologized for my part. I knew I was a villain in that story as well, and I’ve held a lot of guilt for that,” she said.

All Hulu needs to do is get Kenna to sign on for Season 3!
