We can’t believe it’s been two weeks without a new episode of The View. Luckily, it won’t be long until the hit daytime talk show returns to its regularly scheduled programming.

Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin had a jam-packed final week before winter break with guest appearances by Jessica Chastain, Peter Sarsgaard, Tracee Ellis Ross and the cast of The Color Purple. Since then, ABC has been airing repeat episodes from Season 27, which kicked off in September.

So, why exactly is The View off the air today? When will it be back with new episodes?

The View is on holiday hiatus this week, with no new episodes airing from Dec. 18 through Dec. 29. The break comes just in time for Christmas and New Year’s, giving the co-hosts an extended leave to spend time with their loved ones.

Since the ladies are on vacation for the holidays, it looks like The View won’t return until after the new year.

The View might not be airing a new episode today, but ABC will be playing a rerun, meaning you can catch up on anything you might’ve missed!
