Another day, another co-host is missing from The View. Sunny Hostin was noticeably absent from this morning’s episode of the hit ABC talk show, which brought in Ana Navarro (a Monday and Friday-only co-host) a day early to fill in for the legal analyst.
The last time Hostin was on The View was Wednesday (Oct. 8) when Alyssa Farah Griffin delivered the exciting news that she and her husband are expecting their first baby, a boy, in February 2026. Hostin, who has been a support system for Griffin as she went through IVF, told her co-host that she was “going to give so many women who are going through infertility and IVF so much hope.”
Unfortunately, Hostin wasn’t there today to continue the celebrations, or discuss the next lineup of political Hot Topics with the rest of her co-workers.
So, why wasn’t Hostin on this morning’s episode of The View? And when will she be back? Luckily, we have the answers to your burning questions. Keep reading for more information.
We’re not sure why Hostin was missing from The View this morning, but it seems like her time off might have been planned since there was ample time to fly Navarro in early.

According to Whoopi Goldberg, Hostin will return to The View on Monday, Oct. 13.
If you’re tuning in live, you can watch The View on ABC, where the show airs every weekday at 11/10c. You can also stream The View through the ABC website with a valid cable login or on streaming platforms like Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV.
