Not everyone is fortunate enough to get a gift when they drop by The View, but Sydney Sweeney lucked out this morning when she received a sweet gesture from none other than Whoopi Goldberg.
Sweeney, who appeared on the daytime talk show to promote her new film Immaculate, revealed that she used to keep little treats in the prosthetic stomach she had to wear for her character’s pregnancy in the movie.
“You had to wear a fake pregnancy belly at one part, which ended up being, as you would say, rather convenient,” Sara Haines told their guest.
Sweeney confirmed, “Yes, it was. I hid snacks in my pregnant belly,” as Alyssa Farah Griffin could be heard exclaiming, “I love that!”
When Haines asked Sweeney what she hid, she replied, “I would put, like, Sour Patch Kids or Peanut M&Ms.”
Goldberg then piped up to tell her, “I have something for you,” before reaching over to hand Sweeney some candies in red wrappers.
“I want you to try this,” she said, as Haines joked, “She carries those also in her belly.”
Sweeney, accepting the candies, asked, “You carry these around, too?” as Goldberg joked, “I carry them under my chest.”

The panel laughed, but we never saw Goldberg take the candies from anywhere — the camera hadn’t been filming her during Sweeney’s snack confession, so all of a sudden she magically had the confections in hand. All of this is to say, were they really from under her chest? We suppose that’s a secret for The View audience to know and keep.
When Sweeney thanked Goldberg, the moderator assured her the candies were “covered,” and the Euphoria star promised, “I will eat them all.”
As for what the candies were, Goldberg didn’t reveal, but Sunny Hostin helpfully told Sweeney that they were “sweet and sour” — which seems to fit right in with her affinity for Sour Patch Kids.
The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
