Whoopi Goldberg had some choice words for “you-know-who” and his “dumb” tariff policies on this morning’s episode of The View.

With President Donald Trump doubling down on tariffing other countries over the weekend, Goldberg laid out some everyday products that are predicted to increase in price as a result. According to the moderator, it will cost an additional $714 billion to bring shoes, TVs, building products, and all other imports into the United States. Plus, low-income families will reportedly see a decrease of $980 annually and clothes will increase 70% in price, she told viewers.

“He keeps talking about we’re gonna build all these factories. How can you build factories when you put tariffs on all the building products people need to build?” Goldberg asked. “People can’t build these products like this. What are you thinking?!”

At the end of the segment, Goldberg said she would’ve liked to see Trump negotiate his tariffs with other countries before implementing them right away.

“It would be nice if you go through and you say, ‘Hey, country. We’re paying too much. Let’s talk about how we can do this better. Let’s negotiate,’” she said. “But when you come in and slash and burn, see, that’s not smart business. That’s just dumb. I’m sorry. That’s just dumb.”

The moderator then claimed any normal person would be fired if they treated their job the way Trump is treating his second term in the White House.

“I am always gonna try to get my words to be the correct words that don’t irritate people, but I’m to the point where I need somebody to explain to me what the hell is going on. Because I don’t get it. It doesn’t make any sense,” she fumed, before adding, “If I did this, if I treated my job the way this man is treating this job, I’d be out of work.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
