President Trump‘s recent address to the United Nations General Assembly has left the ladies of The View questioning his competence.

During Wednesday’s broadcast, Sara Haines joked that Trump’s speech must have horrified his team. “I just feel like someone died yesterday watching that, like his people, his team, because that was just a train wreck,” she said.

Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar also agreed that the speech was “embarrassing.”

“What an embarrassment,” Behar commented. “The world is laughing at us.”

Whoopi Goldberg admitted that she was “worried” after Trump’s address and noted that it might be time to question President Trump’s competence and ability to preside over the country, much as Republicans questions President Biden’s competence.

“He had an opportunity to do so much more than he offered them and they don’t consider him to be serious anymore,” she said. “I’m worried.”

Hostin explained that it is the 25th constitutional amendment that addresses whether a president should be succeeded. “It’s actually the 25th amendment when you start questioning someone’s competence and mental acuity,” she told Goldberg.

“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence,” Goldberg remarked.

“If Biden had acted like this I would have said, ‘Yeah take him,'” she said. “This was not presidential and this was not helpful.”

Hostin also called Trump out for saying “inflammatory, divisive types of things about immigration” and “lying” during his address to the U.N. But she believes he “lied” for one clear reason: “He wants the Nobel Peace Prize.”

“Well, somebody make one and send it to him!” Goldberg demanded, prompting laughs.
