Whoopi Goldberg nearly dropped an F-bomb live on the air today.
This morning’s episode of The View opened with a fiery conversation about the latest government shutdown, which has both sides of the aisle playing the blame game.
“I think the American public loses when the government shuts down,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said, with Goldberg nodding her head in agreement.
According to Griffin—who worked under President Donald Trump’s first administration but has since spoken out against him—Democrats will “regret” the shutdown, which she believes the POTUS wanted.
“That’s my warning to Democrats,” she said. “Donald Trump wants the shutdown. You guys shouldn’t give him what he wants because that means he’s got a plan and I don’t think you’re gonna like the outcome.”
Joy Behar urged Americans to call their congressmen in the meantime, but Goldberg had doubts that anyone working under the Trump administration would be much help.
“You gotta call these people and tell them, or make other arrangements for what you need because they’re not gonna help you,” she said. “It’s that simple. Whatever side you’re on. Make other arrangements.”
“Start finding different ways to get what you need because this is not an administration that gives a —,” she continued, abruptly stopping herself from finishing the sentence, which was well on its way to ending with an F-bomb. With Goldberg scrambling for ways to conclude her thought, Behar chimed in with the assist, exclaiming, “A darn!”
Piggybacking off of the comedian, Goldberg added, “A doggone about you.”

Goldberg’s sentiments came merely one day after Behar questioned whether America will survive the rest of Trump’s presidency.
“If you guys think that we can survive another three-and-a-half years of this, I think you’re delusional,” she said on Tuesday morning’s (Sept. 30) episode of The View. “Every day, there’s some nihilistic thing.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
