My Life with the Walter Boys , Melanie Halsall’s Netflix drama inspired by Ali Novak’s novels, ended its sophomore season with a touching tribute card honoring the late Todd Giroux.

When My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, Episode 10, “Showdowns and Sparkles,” wrapped and Sam Smith’s emotional “Fire on Fire” started to play, the end credits kicked off with tribute card that read: “In memory of Todd Giroux.”

Those familiar with series like Warrior Nun, The Order, The Imperfects, and Animal Control may have recognized Giroux’s name from past credits. But for those unfamiliar with his work, Giroux was a talented producer, supervisor, and collaborator in the entertainment industry who helped bring dozens of television shows and movies to life behind the camera.

Want to learn more about Todd Giroux and the projects he worked on? Curious what his relation to My Life with the Walter Boys was? Or when Giroux died? Here’s what to know about the late producer and the legacy he left behind.

Todd Giroux, a Hollywood producer, kickstarted his career decades ago. Per IMDb, Giroux’s 35 producer credits include House of David, Animal Control, Murder in a Small Town, Exile, Warrior Nun, Van Helsing, The Order, Wu Assassins, Mech-X4, Continuum, and more. And yes, Giroux’s tribute card appeared at the end of My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 because he worked on the Netflix series as well. He’s credited as an associate producer on MLWTWB Season 1’s 10 episodes.

In addition to producing, Giroux also worked in editorial departments on 70 projects, has 59 production manager credits, and more. Per Giroux’s obituary, the multi-hyphenate passed away recently, on July 4, 2025.

“Todd was a gifted post producer, supervisor, and producer. Humble about his many accomplishments, he founded his own business, Robot Post Media Services Inc., where he quietly built an impressive body of work,” Giroux’s obituary reads. “His talent earned him 11 nominations and 11 wins across the industry. He worked on major productions for Netflix, Showcase, and Amazon… Todd will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, dry wit, and his unwavering love for family, animals, the many students, coworkers, and friends whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.”

Giroux’s legacy will live on through all the shows and films he helped create, the many lives he touched, and now, through My Life with the Walter Boy and its Season 2 tribute.

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
