Zach is a senior at Silver Falls high who hits it off with Nathan in an unexpectedly charming Season 2, Episode 2 locker room scene. Zach walks by Nathan and compliments his shirt, which features a German band he likes called Trash Dolls. Surprised that Zach knows the band, Nathan and him start bonding over their shared taste in music. After Zach gets dressed, he shoots Nathan a big grin, says, “It’s hard to find people with good taste, and leaves him standing there, intrigued.

We get the sense that Nathan is a bit rattled by the interaction, and those suspicions are confirmed later in the episode, when he and Skylar run into Zach in the parking lot.

Turns out, Zach is the photographer for the school paper — you know, the one that Sky edits and Nathan just joined. Awkward!!! As the season progresses and Nathan and Zach spend more time getting to know each other, you can bet that some tensions will arise between Nathan and Sky. That’s right, folks!
