The Democratic party turned up for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, but also turned down (for what) thanks to the help of DJ Cassidy.
The DJ took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video from Night 2 of the convention, featuring his “Democratic National Convention roll call,” in which he played a song to acknowledge each state and territory. The selection included “I’m Shipping Up To Boston” for Massachusetts, “Jump Around” for Wisconsin, and Beyoncé‘s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” for, you guessed it, Texas.
In the caption, he expressed his gratitude for the invitation to “Pass The Mic from state to state, so that all our voices are heard.” He also thanked Vice President Kamala Harris “for always recognizing music’s ability to inspire and unite.”
“I am so truly grateful for this honor, Madame President! ????????????️????????,” he added.
