After “a crappy situation” (not pooping in over nine days) resulted in contestant Sam Jeffries leaving the beach behind to deliver a “poo baby” back home, Paradise is welcoming a new Sam to the sand. There’s just one catch: Members of Bachelor Nation likely won’t recognize her unless they’ve watched Bachelor in Paradise Canada.

As Paradise fans know from Season 8, when “Thor’s body double” and The Bachelorette Australia alum Adam Todd was introduced, the franchise does recruit from Down Under to shake seasons up every so often.

As noted, Sam Picco has never been on any U.S. Bachelor shows prior to Season 9 of Paradise. But back in Canada, she’s a reality TV regular. The 34-year-old recently appeared on Bachelor in Paradise Canada Season 2. But prior to joining Bachelor Nation, she was on Big Brother Canada Season 7.

Judging by the Paradise Episode 5 premiere, a blonde woman (likely Sam based on Season 9 cast spoilers) descends the Paradise stairs ahead of a crucial rose ceremony, where Sean, Aaron S., John B., Pilot Peter, and either Will or Tyler (depending on who Mercedes gives her rose to) are at risk of elimination.

Right before Sam appeared, a newly religious Sean was praying that he and his pal Aaron S. would receive Paradise miracles, so will Sam be interested in either of them? Will she vibe with another single guy ahead of the rose ceremony? Or will she dare try to pull a taken man aside and start yet another Paradise love triangle? Only time will tell!
