When the end credits roll on My Life With the Walter Boys‘ Season 1 finale, viewers will have a long list of questions beyond “Will there be a Season 2?” Near that top of that list will likely be, “Who the heck is Morgan?!”
Don’t remember meeting a Morgan in the first 10 episodes of the popular Netflix series based on Ali Novak’s 2014 novel of the same name? You’re not alone. We’ve gotten to know Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez), Cole (Noah LaLonde), Alex (Ashby Gentry), Danny (Connor Stanhope), Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis), Will (Johnny Link), Kathrine (Sarah Rafferty), George (Marc Blucas), and a number of other Walter family members and friends. But no Morgan. So when the name flashed across a phone screen during the Season 1 finale, viewers were understandably left wondering about the mysterious character’s identity.
So who is Morgan on My Life With the Walter Boys? Here’s everything we know.
Season 1, Episode 10, “Happily Ever After” largely focuses on Will and Haley’s (Zoë Soul) wedding and reception. After the celebrations die down, however, the newlyweds share a romantic, somewhat confusing moment alone in their yurt at night. As they’re laying in bed beneath a canopy of twinkle lights, Will asks Haley if she’s having second thoughts, and Haley jokingly replied, “Maybe. I can still get an annulment, right? No I was just thinking that I’ve gotta thank Jackie tomorrow. She worked so hard.”
Will calls Jackie “a force of nature,” then notes that if everything works out with her uncle, they can quit The Lark and start their very own business at the farm. Haley reminds Will not to talk about business on their wedding night, and then her phone dings. The screen clearly reads, “1 Message from Morgan,” but when Will inquires about the message, Haley lies and says, “It’s just Tara.” For a moment, she looks concerned, but she quickly settles back down in his arms and resumes her wedded bliss.

So again, WHO the heck is Morgan?! Long story short, we still don’t know!
Even without additional details, it’s clear that Morgan is someone Haley doesn’t want to bring up to Will — especially on their wedding night, but why? Is it a former love interest? Someone she hooked up with when she and Will were on a break? A person who has a complex relationship with the Walter fam? Or perhaps a long lost Walter brother? (Hey, who knows how many Walter brothers there are in this world!) And what does that text message say?!
As for now, the answers remains a mystery as far as the series is concerned. (If any Morgan-related updates from the novel pop up we’ll be sure to update this post.) Until then, here’s hoping we get some clarity in a potential Season 2.
My Life With the Walter Boys Season 1 is streaming on Netflix for all your rewatch needs.
