Taylor Frankie Paul turned her life-changing soft-swinging scandal into a successful TV show that follows a group of young, Mormon influencer mothers. The aftermath of her scandal was the main focus in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1 — and the topic doesn’t go away in Season 2 as fans are finally introduced to one of the women Taylor and her now ex-husband swung with.

Hulu first teased Miranda McWhorter‘s involvement in the show in the Season 2 trailer. “Wait, that’s the girl that was swinging with Taylor,” one of the women says as McWhorter walks into an event.

In only the first three episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor and Miranda reconnect after their falling out over the swinging scandal (and the affects it had on each of their failed marriages). Plus, they each tell their own sides of what went down at these so-called swinging parties, with Taylor holding nothing back.

So, what exactly happened with the swinging scandal? And what did Taylor say she and Miranda did with their ex-husbands? Keep reading for everything we know!

In 2022, Taylor shocked MomTok followers when she announced that she and her husband Tate Paul were getting a divorce after engaging in “soft swinging” with other Mormon couples and MomTok influencers. Taylor admitted that she ended up having an affair with one of the other husbands, which resulted in her split from Tate. The aftermath of her scandal and its affect on MomTok was then documented on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

There were three couples involved in the soft swinging scandal. Miranda and her ex-husband Chase McWhorter, who were introduced in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2, were the first to swing with Taylor and Tate, while McKenna “Kenna” Gibbons and Brayden Rowley came into the picture a little later.

Rowley previously said he was the one Taylor had an affair with on an August 2024 episode of his OnlyDads podcast, per SheKnows. While McKenna stayed silent at the time, she revealed in a since-deleted series of TikTok videos that she and Brayden were the third couple to join the soft swinging parties. She has not appeared in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Miranda is a former MomTok content creator who was best friends with Taylor before the swinging scandal tore them apart. Miranda, who shares two kids with ex-husband Chase, infamously swung with Taylor and her ex-husband Tate.

Some of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars questioned the timing of Miranda’s return to MomTok in the first few episodes of Season 2. After she spent two years demonizing Taylor and shutting down her swinging claims, they couldn’t help but wonder if she was only chasing clout after the Hulu series brought them (and the scandal) to new levels of fame. But now that Miranda is divorced from Chase, she is ready to tell her side of the story.

Throughout most of the first three episodes of Season 2, Miranda maintains that she and Chase only partook in playing spin the bottle with Taylor, her ex-husband, and the other couple they were soft-swinging with. Miranda promises that no one had sex with someone else’s partner and that she had never even touched another man’s “wiener.” But according to Taylor, Miranda isn’t telling the full story.

Taylor says that she once told Chase (Miranda’s now ex-husband) that she had a sex dream about him and he allegedly responded by admitting his feelings for her. However, Taylor says she turned him down, which is why he’s been openly critical of her on social media and on his podcast. As for what went down at these swinging parties, Taylor says she and Miranda had sex with their husbands in the same shower at the same time and in the same bed at the same time. They also played games where the women were blindfolded and had to guess which husband they were kissing. Plus, Taylor says she and Miranda once made out with each other while the four husbands looked on and filmed it on their phones.

While Miranda is still uncomfortable to admit the full truth, she does finally say that more than just kissing happened at these parties, which is enough of a confession for Taylor.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 is currently streaming on Hulu. A subscription costs as low as $9.99 a month with ads or $18.99 a month without ads.
