Love Island USA’s premiere week continued with a new episode that dropped two bombshells on the island. After volunteering to leave in a heartbreaking and surprising elimination ceremony in the first episode, Bergie found himself face to face with the Islands newest sexy singles. Life in the villa will never be the same again!
So, who are these bombshells and who is Carmen? It looks like she’s destined to cause some drama when the next elimination rolls around, so she’s definitely one to watch. Here’s everything we know about Carmen on Love Island USA.
Carmen Kocourek (@carmen_kocourek) is a newcomer to Love Island, joining the show on Day 2 as one of a pair of bombshells paired with first-out Islander Bergie. It turns out that Bergie isn’t out so much as in a throuple with Carmen and fellow newcomer Hannah Wright. The throuple isn’t built to last, though, as Carmen and Hannah are encouraged to get to know all of the Islanders when they enter the villa on Day 2.
Since the episode doesn’t give Carmen a proper introduction with interview footage and all that, we’re left to piece together her backstory from her Instagram profile. It looks like she is from Wisconsin but currently lives in Arizona where she works as a bartender at El Hefe in Scottsdale.
She’s also signed with a modeling agency which should be a no-brainer, what with her being a cast member on Love Island.
Oh, you know, the usual: a man who is “fit, confident, funny, and obsessed with me.” That’s the dream, right? She also likes blondes, which makes Bergie think he just might have a shot… but Carmen prioritizes other traits when picking a guy for her first date.
Carmen says up top that she is not afraid to step on any toes in order to get her man, and that she’s come to the island to “fuck shit up.” The shit she’s targeted for a good fucking up just so happens to be Kassy’s day-old relationship with Leonardo. Carmen asks Leonardo out on a date to a fairytale-esque setting outside of the villa in Fiji. Seriously, are they in a Disney movie?
While Carmen says that she wants to get to know all of the guys, and admits that it takes her a little while to develop genuine feelings for a potential mate, she sure does take a liking to Leo. He also likes her because she’s a straight shooter. By the end of the date, it looks like these two might just be a match — and Kassy is not happy about that!
The episode ends on a cliffhanger: in 24 hours, both Carmen and Hannah will steal a guy away from one of the established couples, leaving two women vulnerable. I love that the text just assumes that neither of them are going to choose Bergie, who is ostensibly single. #JusticeForBergie
