Your Friends & Neighbors is the brand-new sexy-smart dramedy on Apple TV+ that everyone — including your own friends and neighbors — is talking about.
With an all-star cast led by Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn, and Amanda Peet, the series — which follows Coop (Hamm) an out-of-work single dad who turns to robbing his wealthy neighbors of their priceless items and pawning them to support his kids’ lifestyle — is already turning heads.
As the show cast like this, who wouldn’t want to tune in? Factor in the fact that the show is pulling back the curtain, albeit a fictional one, on the way that the other half lives, and you’ve got yourself an eye-catching show. If you don’t believe me, just tune into Episode 1 of the Jonathan Tropper series and watch as Hamm’s character drives through a neighborhood with houses that could double as a compound straight out of Succession.
The show itself takes place in the “exceedingly affluent Westmont Village,” a fictional suburb located outside of New York City. But that doesn’t mean that is where they filmed. Keep reading for all the details on the filming locations of Your Friends & Neighbors.

While the show is based in Westmont Village — a cheeky nod to Westchester County — the real primary filming location is Hudson Valley, New York. The foliage, manicured small towns, and upscale homes give way to selling the story about a disgraced hedge fund manager among society’s elite. According to recent reports, median home values in the real Westchester County topped $1 million in 2024, making it one of the priciest places to live in New York.
Since much of the story also takes place in outdoor settings — golf courses and tennis courts, etc — Your Friends & Neighbors was shot heavily at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York. The century old golf course and country club includes the Woodlea Manor, a 140 room estate previously owned by a member of the historically opulent Vanderbilt family.
We also know that at least some of the indoor filming for Season 1 took place at the CBS Broadcast Center in Midtown Mahhattan. Several of the actors and production workers on the project have posted behind the scenes looks at the filming of the pawn shop scenes — where Coop will keep returning to as the season goes on — and some of the interiors of homes occupied by the main cast of characters. There are also several shots of Coop on the streets of Manhattan both before and after losing his job.

The initial shot inside the bar between Coop and Liv Cross (Kitty Hawthorne) — the woman who Coop has sex with and then loses his job over — is shot at the rt60 rooftop bar & lounge in Manhattan. The bar is located on the top floor of the Hard Rock Hotel.
Additionally, several scenes in Season 1 were shot in Rye, a coastal New York city with a small-town American feel. One scene featuring Amanda Peet’s Mel Cooper — the ex-wife of Hamm’s character — sees her walking away from the Water Moon restaurant on Purchase Street in Rye.

The show also filmed many of Mel and Coop’s scenes in Rye, including one shot of his Maserati driving through the streets of the town and another of Mel grabbing coffee at a local shop. In the show, we see Mel grab her drinks from a barista at the Sunshine Coffee Roasters.
It’s a New York show and it’s a New York set!
The first two episodes of Your Friends & Neighbors are currently streaming on Apple TV+. New episodes air Fridays.
