The Big Door Prize, which is now streaming on Apple TV+ as of March 29, is not just a brilliant science fiction dramedy series based on M.O. Walsh’s eponymous novel, but a thrilling experience from front to back.

Created by David West Read, the show centers on the residents of a small town called Deerfield whose lives take a very different turn when a mysterious and magical machine appears in the grocery store.

The machine has this strange ability to predict the destinies of the people who observe it closely and reveals their true potential. Upon gaining this knowledge, many of the residents begin changing jobs, reevaluating their current relationships, and questioning their beliefs and choices. High school teacher Dusty, however, doesn’t buy it.

Whether or not you’re currently evaluating your life choices, this show starring Chris O’Dowd, Gabrielle Dennis, Josh Segarra, Ally Maki, and Damon Gupton, is sure to keep anyone entertained. If you’re a viewer and are wondering where the show was filmed, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about The Big Door Prize‘s filming locations.

The Big Door Prize is filmed in Georgia, specifically in Loganville and Atlanta (where the studio is located).

Principal photography for the debut season of the comedy-drama series commenced in January 2022 under the working title Zoltar and wrapped up in April of the same year.

Given the picturesque landscapes across the state of Georgia, production can find many different backdrops suitable for each one of the show’s scenes. They repainted and repurposed several different streets and storefronts in Loganville, in and around Main Street.
