Live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Sean Strickland defends his UFC Middleweight Championship against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 297!
What a weekend to be a sports fan. Not only do we have four NFL playoff games and an exciting array of NBA action, but we’re also blessed with the first UFC pay-per-view event of 2024. UFC 297 will be headlined by a UFC Middleweight title bout between Sean Strickland (28-5, No. 8 in UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings) and Dricus Du Plessis (20-2, No. 2 in UFC’s Middleweight rankings). Strickland has won three straight fights, last losing to Jared Cannonier at a UFC Fight Night event in December 2022, while Dricus hasn’t felt the sting of defeat since a loss to Roberto Soldić in October 2018. Who’s leaving Canada with middleweight gold? We’re about to find out.
