This holiday season, don’t forget to gather your loved ones for the annual airing of grievances, followed by the feats of strength. That’s right: It’s Festivus!

Dec. 23 marks the sacred day of Festivus, popularized in part by Seinfeld character Frank Costanza, played by the late Jerry Stiller.

As Frank explains it in the episode, he created Festivus after he went out to buy his son George (Jason Alexander) a doll for Christmas. But it was actually invented by the father of Seinfeld writer Dan O’Keefe in 1966, who told Today.com it was “a peculiar celebration unique to our peculiar family.”

The iconic Seinfeld episode is one of Stiller’s best as he teams up with Kramer (Michael Richards) to bring the holiday back, much to George’s horror. “I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way,” he explains to Kramer in the episode. “But out of that, a new holiday was born! A Festivus for the rest of us.”

For those looking to celebrate at home, your average Festivus celebration begins with the airing of grievances, which occurs when you gather your family around the dinner table so you can share “all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year.” And don’t forget to get the aluminum pole from the crawl space. Who needs a Christmas tree anyways?

Here’s everything you need to know to stream Seinfeld‘s classic holiday episode that popularized Festivus.

Luckily for Seinfeld fans, the entire series can be streamed on Netflix. The Seinfeld Festivus episode occurs in Season 9, Episode 10, titled “The Strike.”

The episode also follows Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) as she does her best to get a free sandwich while evading several creepy men, while Kramer (Michael Richards) returns to working at a bagel shop after ending his 12-year strike.

Netflix currently has plans beginning at $6.99 a month with ads or $15.49 a month for ad-free programming.

Extra household member slots can be added onto a plan for $7.99 a month, as well.
