The first new The Naked Gun movie in 31 years hits theaters tomorrow, August 1!
Liam Neeson will step into Leslie Nielsen’s shoes as the lead of the new film, Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., son of Nielsen’s Lt. Frank Drebin. The slapstick comedy is already drawing rave reviews, but before you head to the theater, might we suggest a little movie night at home?
There are three The Naked Gun movies, which were released between 1988 and 1994, all stemming from the popular crime parody TV series Police Squad!, which also starred Nielsen.
While Police Squad! isn’t currently available to stream, all three movies are currently streaming on Paramount+.
Paramount+ offers two subscription plans. The ad-supported Essential plan costs $7.99/month, while the ad-free Premium plan (which comes with Showtime and live CBS) costs $12.99/month. New subscribers can take advantage of a seven-day free trial.
