Are you ready to meet the next generation of The Boys? Well, get ready, because Gen V is rocketing at you faster than A-Train on a bender.
Though the animated anthology Diabolical was the first official spinoff of Prime Video’s massive hit superhero series The Boys, the upcoming Gen V is the first live-action, totally in-continuity spinoff in the world of the series. Focusing on a generation of kids who now know their powers were given to them by an injection of the Vought Corporation’s Compound V, and not god or nature, the show has the same irreverent humor, gross-out fights, and shocking twists as the original… But this time, it’s set at a college, with a whole new cast.
Starring former Chilling Adventures of Sabrina castmates Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo as Marie Moreau, who has the power to control blood, and Andre, who can bend metal, the show revolves around the fictional Godolkin University… A place where fame is as important, if not more so than actually bothering to go to class. Rounding out the cast are Lizze Broadway as Emma, who can become tiny; Maddie Phillips as Cate, who has the power to “push” people mentally; Derek Luh and London Thor as Jordan, a non-binary shapechanger; and Patrick Schwarzenegger as Luke, aka the university’s literal Golden Boy, the cast is stacked.
But that’s not all! True to form, the spinoff will feature a number of appearances from the cast of The Boys, including Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Colby Minfie as Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman, P.J. Byrne as Adam Bourke, Chace Crawford as The Deep, and somehow Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy… Despite the latter getting put on ice at the end of The Boys Season 3.
Suffice it to say, this is a show any fan of The Boys is slobbering at the mouth to watch harder than Terror when he sees a nutsack. Add in that it’s the perfect mix of superheroes and teen drama (shouts out to Harlan Coben’s Shelter and The Summer I Turned Pretty) and it sure seems like Prime Video has another hit on its hands.
With all that in mind… When is it on? Here’s what you need to know about how, and when, to watch Gen V:
