Miley Cyrus has continued to wow the world with her voice since her days starring as teen pop sensation Hannah Montana.
Her Mar. 10 release of her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, has received a lot of buzz from listeners. She also released a live music special that same day, so that fans can not only listen, but can also watch Cyrus’ performance of her newest hits.
Miley Cyrus: Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) spotlights her most recent album, which features “Flowers,” the song which garnered Cyrus the longest no. 1 hit run among women ever on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay Chart, besting Avril Lavigne’s 2002 “Complicated.”
Filmed at Farralone, the historic California home that once housed Frank Sinatra and the place that also served as the setting for her “Flowers” music video, the special is comprised of multiple performances by Cyrus — including one special performance with Rufus Wainwright — which are “threaded with exclusive interviews,” per a press release promoting the special.
“The “Backyard Sessions” are a series that Miley began in 2012 for her fans,” the press release continued. “Viewers were quickly taken with the experience of watching Miley and her band perform in an intimate, outdoor setting, and the “Backyard Sessions” quickly became a benchmark series. Miley Cyrus ‒ Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) serves as a continuation.”
