Legendary lawman Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) returns to action in the pulsating new miniseries Justified: City Primeval.
Adapted from Elmore Leonard’s City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit, the Western-style thriller picks up fifteen years after Raylan left the hollers of Kentucky. The new adventure finds the U.S. Marshall in Detroit as he squares off against a formidable sociopath known as the The Oklahoma Wildman (portrayed by Boyd Holbrook).
Having seen the entire season, I can confidently report that Justified: City Primeval is a cool glass of bourbon on a hot summer day. If you’re a fan of the original series (now streaming on Hulu), you’ll enjoy this sophisticated follow-up.

Along with Timothy Olyphant’s return to the franchise, Justified: City Primeval stars Aunjanue Ellis (Carolyn Wilder), Adelaide Clemens (Sandy), Vondie Curtis Hall (Sweety), Marin Ireland (Maureen), Norbert Leo Butz (Norbert), and Victor Williams (Wendall).
Two additional fun facts about the cast: The season’s central antagonist, Clement Mansel (aka The Oklahoma Wildman), is portrayed by Boyd (!) Holbrook, and Timothy Olyphant’s real-life daughter, Vivian Olyphant, plays his on-screen daughter (Willa Givens).
All six seasons of Justified are available to stream on Hulu.
