The countdown to Hollywood’s biggest night is officially on now that the nominations for the 2024 Oscars have been released.

Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid made the big announcement this morning; you can read all of them here.

This year, like last year, there are ten nominees for the evening’s top prize: Best Picture.

The nominations include both halves of the Barbenheimer phenomenon: the billion-dollar Barbie and Oppenheimer, which holds the most nominations of the year with 13.

There are also two films by first-time directors represented: Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction and Celine Song’s Past Lives; two films primarily not in English (Past Lives and Anatomy of a Fall); and two biopics (the aforementioned Oppenheimer and Bradley Cooper‘s Maestro).
