Rob Lowe and Fox are lighting up the game show genre, with The Floor and audiences love it.
The show premiered in January and, according to 4 Filming, is based on a Dutch series by the same name.
It is a battle of strategy and Trivia; contestants are spread across the LED floor, each a champion of their category.
Then, they go head-to-head in a back-forth to see who can outwit their opponent, and the last person standing wins the grand prize.
The Floor studio is a sophisticated space that hosts a live audience, leaving fans to wonder: where is The Floor filmed?

The show is run by Americans, hosted by an American and the contestants are Americans, but the filming location is not in America.
4 Filming reports that the show is shot in Ardmore Studios in Bray, Ireland. The studio provided the perfect space for their elaborate floor and surrounding set.
All three seasons have been filmed in the Irish studio, and no reports show that the production plans to move. The decision to film overseas may be due to the cheaper cost of production as well, which Lowe seemingly confirmed on his own podcast, per RTE.
“It’s cheaper to bring one hundred American people to Ireland than to walk across the lot at Fox, past the sound stages, and do it there,” he said.

The Ankler explained that Fox has taken multiple shows, including Name That Tune and Beat Shazam, overseas to be produced.
However, taking the show to Europe has cons outside of the benefits of lowering the budget production.
The Ankler spoke with Jenny Daly, president of Critical Content, who explained, “It’s a lot of work and loss of control having to outsource.”
A direct correlation between lower production prices results in less control.According to The Ankler, Ireland welcomes the influx of shows to their studios, offering tax incentives.
The Floor is now available to stream on Hulu.
