Virgin River fans have a new obsession: Sullivan’s Crossing!
Created by Roma Roth and based on Robyn Carr’s series of novels, the buzzy Canadian romantic drama recently premiered on Netflix, and, surprise, surprise, it’s a hit! The first two seasons of the Morgan Kohan/Chad Michael Murray-led charmer are currently on the streaming giant, but you don’t have to wait for Season 3 to drop on Netflix because all three seasons of Sullivan’s Crossing are streaming for free on The CW website.

Anyone familiar with the series can’t seem to get enough of the show’s winsome locales. Where exactly was Sullivan’s Crossing filmed? Great question! Here’s everything you need to know.
The series is filmed in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia. While Timberlake is fictional, People reports that the show was shot in Beaver Bank, Shubie Park in Dartmouth, Oakfield, and Eastern Passage. According to the cast, we should all be booking our tickets to Canada asap!
“Honestly, every time I go to work, and I’m on set, it’s a breath of fresh air because we’re out in the middle of nowhere. We’re out on the water, we’re on the lake [in] nature, and you’re just one with the world. It’s so peaceful,” star Chad Michael Murray said in a phone interview with Decider. “In between takes when we’re setting up, you can just go out and breathe fresh air. Or during lunch breaks, the crew is swimming in the lake. It really does feel so peaceful.
Continued Murray, “I think people are gonna want to come and visit this place. I think Sullivan’s Crossing is a character in this story, so very much that I think people are gonna want to come check it out. And I highly recommend that they do because Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a gem. I love it.”
According to Atlas of Wonders, Shandon’s Diner is actually Hali Deli, a casual Jewish-style delicatessen near Downtown Halifax, and the Sullivan’s Crossing campground scenes are filmed at the Harold T. Barrett Fun Forest Camp on Beaver Bank Lake.
Netflix’s Tudum announced that the third season of Sullivan’s Crossing will premiere in August 2025 on Netflix. No official release date has been revealed, but What’s on Netflix reports that the third season is likely to premiere Monday, August 11, 2025, on Netflix in the United States.

You know it! Back in June, CTV confirmed that Sullivan’s Crossing has been renewed for a fourth season, and The CW recently greenlit Season 4 after the show’s successful Netflix debut. No official release date has been announced, but we expect the show to return with new episodes in 2026.
