Bad news, Michael Strahan fans: the Good Morning America host will not be returning to the daytime news show just yet.
The former pro athlete has been noticeably absent from his hosting duties for almost two weeks now, across GMA and Fox NFL Sundays. ABC anchors Juju Chang and Linsey Davis have filled in for Strahan throughout his absence, but fans at home are beginning to miss his presence on the show.
Strahan has been missing from Good Morning America since Thursday, Oct. 26. He has also not appeared on Fox NFL Sundays during this time.
Strahan regularly misses GMA on Mondays because he travels to Los Angeles to host the sports talk show, so fans may have been holding out hope that he would be back this week after he was absent once again on Monday (Nov. 6).
Unfortunately, it looks like it will still be some time before Strahan returns to his hosting duties.

Strahan has yet to publicly address his absence. In fact, he hasn’t posted on social media since Oct. 25. But a statement from an ABC spokesperson claims he will not be back on Good Morning America for yet another week.
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” the statement said, per People.
The statement continued, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
Fox NFL Sundays commentator Curt Menefee had said the same during Sunday’s (Nov. 5) broadcast when Strahan missed the second show in a row.
If the statement from ABC is to be believed, fans should be expecting Strahan back on GMA and Fox NFL Sundays next week. But for now, neither ABC nor Strahan have confirmed when he should be expected back on the air.
Good Morning America airs weekdays at 7 a.m. ET on ABC.
