Today With Hoda & Jenna just does not feel the same when one of our favorite partners in crime is gone.

Hoda Kotb was joined by Saturday Today host Laura Jarrett, who was filling in for Jenna Bush Hager, on this morning’s show. The co-hosts got off to a great start as they discussed the Leap Year, and whether they would propose to a partner first (Kotb insisted she wouldn’t, while Jarrett felt more open to the idea.)

Just yesterday, Bush Hager and Kotb had a hilarious discussing about dating “icks.” But there was no indication given during the broadcast that Bush Hager’s absence from the show was planned.

Though Jarrett brought some great energy to match Kotb’s this morning, Bush Hager’s absence was still very much felt throughout the broadcast.

So where is the Today host, and when should she be expected back on the show? Here’s what we know about why Bush Hager was missing from Today this morning.

While introducing Jarrett as her co-host of the day, Kotb announced that Bush Hager was “feeling a little under the weather.”

“Jenna is not here today. She’s feeling a little under the weather this morning, but she will bounce back as she does,” Kotb said.

She did not indicate when Bush Hager would be back on the show.

But there is a chance the Today host will be back tomorrow when comedian Michelle Collins visits. We’ll keep our fingers crossed, and we wish her a speedy recovery in the meantime!
