Prime Video‘s docu-series Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets explores the lives of Josh and Anna Duggar, as well as their seven children, before and after Josh’s federal conviction for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) .
In December 2021, Josh Duggar was immediately detained until his May 25, 2022 sentencing. Despite the nature of the allegations and the fact that he was facing up to 40 years of prison time, Anna continued to stand by his side.
Duggar is now serving a 151-month sentence in a Texas prison that has been rumored to be “dangerous” and “poorly run.” The four-part limited series, which premiered on Friday, explores the wholesome family’s troubling ties to radical religious organization the Institute in Basic Life Principles.
While the charges against the former TLC personality were shocking, they have left many viewers questioning why the family has continued to stick by him. Many have wondered what happened to Anna Duggar after the events of the docuseries. Fortunately, we have some of the details right here for you.
As was the case prior to Josh Duggar’s trial, it would appear that Anna is still sticking close to the entire family. She still resides at the Duggar compound in Arkansas although the majority of her family, including her parents, currently live in Florida.
The Duggar family’s fundamental Christian Baptist religion puts emphasis on marriage and strict gender roles and thus far, Anna has followed those traditions and likely won’t file for divorce.
According to Daily Mail, Anna and several of her kids regularly visit Josh in prison. A family member of another inmate at FCI Seagoville said she’s seen the Duggars at the prison on numerous occasions.
Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets is now streaming on Prime Video.
