Live with Kelly and Mark viewers were met with another Kelly Ripa absence this morning.

This week, Mark Consuelos has been joined by the morning show’s announcer, Deja Vu, and Jane Krakowski at the host desk, with the former taking on both Monday (Aug. 5) and Wednesday’s co-hosting duties. On Tuesday (Aug. 6), Krakowski was at the helm with Consuelos.

While Ripa may not be on Live this week, that doesn’t mean that the show isn’t serving up fresh new content. This morning, Deja and Consuelos chatted with Blake Lively about It Ends With Us, the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling romance novel, which hits theaters on Friday (Aug. 9).

Once again, Consuelos did not disclose why Ripa was absent on today’s previously recorded installment, just introducing Deja as Ripa’s replacement for the day.

However, Ripa is being honored as a Disney Legend at this year’s annual D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The ceremony is taking place this weekend.

Fans will be missing out on Ripa for the rest of the week. A production source told DECIDER that Live has a slew of guest-hosts with Mark this week for brand new shows including Deja Vu, Maria Menounos and Jenny Mollen. Menounos will be co-hosting on Thursday (Aug. 8), while Mollen will be doing so on Friday (Aug. 9).
