It was recently revealed that the Season 6 finale and Season 7 premiere of the popular franchise will be released theatrically as standalone films before eventually finding their way to Prime Video.

Deadline reports that the sixth season finale premieres in theaters on March 12, 2027. The theatrical release will be preceded by Season 6 streaming on Prime Video and followed by the Season 7 premiere hitting the big screen on March 31, 2028. The seventh season will eventually find its way to Prime Video following the theatrical run of the premiere.

The fifth season consists of eight episodes.
The fifth season will initially be streaming exclusively on Prime Video. Per Forbes, the new season will begin streaming for free on The Chosen app/website on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
The first two episodes of The Chosen Season 5 debut Sunday, June 15 at 3:01 a.m. ET on Prime Video. The rest of the season will premiere over the next two Sundays, with three new episodes dropping on June 22, and the final three episodes of Season 5 debuting on June 29.
