Praise Kier! Severance Season 2 is nearly here.

It’s been almost three years since the Season 1 finale of Apple TV+‘s hit workplace thriller shook fans to their cores, so it’s high time Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro) return to office, don’t you think?

When we last left Lumon’s severed employees, Dylan had trigged the Overtime Contingency, allowing his fellow MDR innies to inhabit the bodies of their outies in a risky whistleblowing attempt. Per Apple TV+, in Season 2 of Dan Erickson’s acclaimed series, “Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”

In an interview with Decider, Erickson teased even more trouble ahead, explaining, “We had a victory at the end of Season 1 for the innies, but at Lumon, there is no victory without pain. So get ready for some pain.”

So when does Severance return with new episodes on Apple TV+? Who’s in Severance‘s Season 2 cast? And how can you stream Severance 1 and the first eight minutes of Season 2? We’ve got answers.

Here’s everything to know about Severance‘s return date, how many episodes are in Severance Season 2, what time new episodes will be available to stream, and more.

Severance Season 2 premieres on Friday, January 17 on Apple TV.

New episodes of Severance will premiere weekly on Fridays, however, Apple TV+ often releases new episodes at 9:00 p.m. ET the night before designated premiere dates, so if you’re extra eager to watch, keep your eyes peeled for new Severance episodes on Thursday nights.

While Season 1 of Severance consisted of nine episodes, fans of the Apple TV+ series will be thrilled to learn that Season 2 is working overtime with 10 episodes.

After the first episode of Severance hits Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17, new episodes will be released weekly on Fridays until the finale on March 21. Looking for a complete Severance Season 2 episode guide with corresponding premiere dates? Here’s the current schedule for Season 2’s ten episodes, which premiere throughout January, February, and March. (Again, remember to keep an eye out for early releases.)

You bet! You can get your first look at Mark’s highly-anticipated Return To Office and the chaos that awaits in Apple TV+’s Season 2 trailer, located at the top of this article. You can also read Decider’s Season 2 trailer breakdown here. And that’s not all…

Can’t wait to be back in the blinding white hallways of the Lumon Industries severed floor? You can watch the first eight minutes of Severance Season 2 right now courtesy of Apple TV+. Subscribers can head over to Apple TV+’s Severance show page and check out the “Season 2 Sneak Peek” found under Bonus Content.

Since Severance is an Apple TV+ original series, you’ll need to be an Apple TV+ subscriber to catch up on Season 1 and watch new Season 2 episodes. That said, Apple TV+ recently announced that the streaming service will be free to all from January 3 to January 5, which is more than enough time to catch up on Severance Season 1’s nine episodes ahead of Season 2. For those interested, Apple TV+ also offers a 7-day free trial before charging $9.99 per month for access to its original streaming series and movies.

In addition to many returning Severance favorites, Season 2 will feature several fresh faces from popular TV series and films including Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, The French Dispatch, The Lord of The Rings, and more. Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Bob Balaban, Merrit Wever, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, and John Noble will appear in Season 2. Plus, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Mr Drummond) and Sarah Bock (Miss Huang) will join as series regulars.

While we wait to learn more about Severance‘s Season 2 newcomers, here’s a look a some returning stars you can expect to see again in the upcoming batch of new episodes:
