Netflix is making it easy for you to catch up on your awards season viewing: Maestro is coming to Netflix this week.
This new biopic about Leonard Bernstein, the Tony-winning composer known for West Side Story, comes from director Bradley Cooper, who also stars in the film as Bernstein with the assistance of heavy prosthetics. But viewers may be surprised to discover the film is less about Bernstein’s life as a composer, and more about his relationship with his wife, Felicia Montealegre, played by Carey Mulligan.
Bernstein’s real family has given the film their stamp of approval, and worked with Cooper on the film—and even defended the star, who is not Jewish, when he faced criticism for donning a large prosthetic nose to play the Jewish composer.
Regardless of the controversy, Maestro is sure to be a frontrunner at the 2024 Oscars, and soon you’ll be able to stream it on Netflix. Read on to learn more about the Maestro Netflix release date and the Maestro Netflix release time.
