MobLand has found a fan in Kelly Ripa — even if it keeps her up at night.
Citing experts, Mark Consuelos read on Wednesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark that “falling asleep to your favorite show doesn’t have to ruin your sleep.”
As for he and, Consuelos said that “there’s no TV” in their room when they travel out west, though his wife will “always have a podcast on” instead.
“Like right now, it’s the Karen Read trial,” he continued. “You’ll have that [on], or a Dateline special.”
Ripa quipped, “About the Karen Read trial.”
Consuelos noted that having something to watch or listen to before bed “helps [Ripa] go to sleep,” adding that he “think[s] it’s good” for her. However, Ripa brought up the exception.
“It does, but I will say that we’ve been watching this show called MobLand,” she shared. “And MobLand is a show that is so good, but it stresses me out so much that my health data on my Oura Ring basically tells me I’m having a heart attack as I’m watching it.”
The Paramount+ crime series starring Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hardy, and Helen Mirren premiered on March 30, earning a STREAM IT from contributor Joel Keller in DECIDER’s MobLand review.

On Wednesday morning, Ripa also said her “sleep numbers are really affected,” pointing out “a direct correlation” between when she watches the show before bed and “what [her] heart rate does.”
Consuelos joked, “But listening to a murder trial is completely fine for you.”
Ripa agreed, “Murder trial puts me right to sleep.”
