Only Murders in the Building Season 5 is almost here!
Less than a year out from the showstopping and heart-racing Season 4 finale — which saw Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) solving the mystery of who murdered Sazz (Jane Lynch) — the podcasting trio is back and better than ever as they set out to unmask yet another murderer, yet again at The Arconia. Who killed the doorman? We’ll soon find out!
In last season’s finale of the hit Hulu comedy, the final moments also showed the surprise arrival of Téa Leoni’s Sofia Caccimelio, the wife of Nicky Caccimelio — the missing “Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn” as introduced via a news package in the penultimate episode. We now know that this laundromat titan (cough cough mobster) will be played by Bobby Cannavale, who makes his OMITB debut alongside several other fresh and familiar faces in the Season 5 opener. And according to Only Murders co-creator John Hoffman, who spoke with DECIDER last year for a finale post-mortem, fans should ready themselves for “ripped from the headlines” themes and lots of highs and lows.
But when exactly does Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building premiere on Hulu? How many episodes will there be in the new season? And — since it’s always such a hot topic — who all is in this latest installment? No fear, we’ve got answers to all your most pressing questions! Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building Season 5.

Fans will remember that Season 4 of the Hulu hit dramatically ended with Mabel, Charles, and Oliver discovering the beloved doorman of The Arconia, Lester (Teddy Coluca), dead in the building’s fountain. Now, it appears that while the rest of the world is accepting his death as accidental, the podcasting trio is not so quick to believe foul play was not involved.
According to a description from Hulu, “Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.”
As the season progresses, the group will discover a divide between the old mob ways and new and “even more dangerous players” emerging and looking to threaten the delicate balance of New York City’s underbelly.
