Tracker fans have gone months without new episodes of Justin Hartley’s hit survivalist drama on CBS. So when the heck will Tracker be back(er)?!
When Tracker Season 2, Episode 20 premiered on May 11, we saw Colter Shaw (Hartley) head home on a job, and uncover the curious, potentially damning family secret that his mom, Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), had something to do with his father Ashton Shaw’s (Lee Tergesen) death.
“I know we’ll get to the nitty-gritty of why my mother hired this guy,” Hartley told Variety in a Season 3 preview interview. “Was she protecting her kids? Was an affair happening? Was the government involved? Was it strictly just my mother? Why did she hide that from us for so long? Why did she lead me to believe that it was my brother who was involved when he wasn’t? It seems like this divide-and-conquer thing that she’s doing. It was just an odd thing to do with your children. There’s some deep psychosis there. We’ll unpack that.”
When Tracker returns for Season 3, the show will also look a bit different, considering two key cast members departed after Season 2: Eric Graise (Bobby) and Abby McEnany (Velma). That said, Fiona Rene (Reenie) will return alongside Hartley. And on Thursday, July 31, fan-favorite guest star Jensen Ackles confirmed he’ll be back as Colter’s brother Russell when he shared an Instagram video of himself on set. So how long do we have to wait for a Tracker reunion?
Is Tracker is on tonight, August 10? Will there be a Tracker Season 3 on CBS? And when does Tracker return with new episodes on CBS? Here’s everything to know about the future of Tracker on CBS, including Tracker’s Season 3 premiere date, Tracker streaming info, and more.
While there were only 13 episodes in Tracker Season 1, Tracker Season 2 consisted of 20 episodes, which means that Season 2, Episode 20, “Echo Ridge,” which aired on Sunday, May 11, was the Season 2 finale.
Technically, yes! Tracker is on tonight, Sunday, August 10, 2025. But there’s no new episode premiering. Instead, CBS will be re-airing two episodes of Tracker Season 2: Episode 4, “Noble Rot,” from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET, and Episode 5, “Preternatural” from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET.

So is Tracker eventually returning with new episodes? Yes! On February 20, 2025, CBS renewed the popular survivalist drama for Season 3, which makes sense, since CBS reported that Tracker hit over 18 million multiplatform viewers in February, a four percent increase from the prior year. On May 7, 2025, CBS claimed another big win when Tracker took the top spot in the network’s 2024-2025 season, averaging 17.5 million broadcast and streaming viewers per episode, according to a 35-day Nielsen streaming report. So when will Colter be back to track?
After months of anticipation, CBS finally announced Tracker’s Season 3 premiere date. The series won’t be returning until CBS’s 2026-2027 broadcast season, so fans will have to wait a while for new episodes. But you can officially mark your calendars for Sunday, October 19, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Want to watch reruns of Tracker live on CBS in the mean time? If you have a cable subscription that includes CBS, you can watch Tracker live by setting your TV to the proper channel a few minutes before an episode airs.
You can also use your cable username and password to watch CBS episodes live on CBS, CBS.com, or by using the CBS app. If your cable package includes a DVR, you can always record live episodes for later viewing, too. Don’t have cable? Don’t worry! There are other live viewing options, including fuboTV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV, or YouTube TV, which offer access to CBS without cable.

If you’re looking to rewatch Tracker Season 1 or catch up on Season 2 episodes, you may be wondering if the series is streaming on Paramount+. The answer is yes! All Season 1 and Season 2 episodes are currently streaming on Paramount+. Paramount+ offers two subscription plans. The ad-supported Essential plan costs $7.99/month, while the ad-free Premium plan (which comes with Showtime and live CBS) costs $12.99/month. New subscribers can take advantage of a seven-day free trial.
If you’re hoping to stream Tracker Season 2 on Hulu, you’re currently out of luck. While Season 1 was added to Hulu back in October 2024 (five months after the Season 1 finale premiered), unfortunately Season 2 episodes have yet to be added. The sophomore season will likely be added to the platform in the future, but for now, head to Paramount+, CBS, or one of the other streaming methods listed above. If you’re interested in watching Season 1 on Hulu, however, here’s what to know:
If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $9.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $10.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $29.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
