The Man with My Husband’s Face is not based on a true story, as far as we can tell. Thank god, though, right? The idea of your thought-dead husband returning to your life and possibly being an imposter is too traumatic for real life, but very entertaining as a Lifetime movie. If you want to watch some funny stories about a thought-dead husband returning to life, and a woman falling for a man with her husband’s face, you can watch the “That Old Feeling” and “Mrs. George Devereaux” episodes of The Golden Girls. Blanche coulda been a real Lifetime heroine.
