The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, a Prime Video adaptation of the fictional Jenny Han trilogy, is on its way. Fans are biting their nails in anticipation of the season, which will at last conclude the tumultuous love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers — the brooding and secretive Conrad (Christopher Briney) and jealous golden-boy Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). After two seasons of yearning, pining and poorly timed confessions, Belly’s final decision is on the horizon. Will she follow her heart toward her first love, or fall deeper for Jeremiah, who many deem the ‘safe choice’?
Season 3 of TSITP is expected to follow the plot of We’ll Always Have Summer, the final book in Han’s series. Don’t worry, we won’t include any spoilers here.
However, the trailer teases a shocking revelation from Belly and Jeremiah — an engagement. “Aren’t they, like, 16?” you might be thinking. Not anymore! According to soapcentral.com, Season 3 fast-forwards to the summer after Belly’s junior year of college, making her technically an adult but still very much a teenager at 19, and Jeremiah a worldly, wise and clearly marriage-ready 20-year-old. Obviously, Belly’s mother (Jackie Chung) is not in favor of the decision. The trailer simultaneously features a butterfly-worthy moment when Conrad shows up on Belly’s doorstep and a plethora of sweet scenes between the two, sending Bonrad fans into a spiral.
We also get a glimpse into what goes on between Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Taylor (Rain Spencer), Belly’s goofy brother and girlboss best friend, who finally got together at the end of season two in a slight enemies-to-lovers trope.

Warning: Season 2 spoilers afoot.
Still reeling from Susannah’s (Rachel Blanchard) funeral and the rift it caused, a distraught Belly returned to Cousins to discover Susannah’s sister, Julia (Kyra Sedgwick), preparing to sell the house. So, she rallies the gang together again, hoping to save the house and subsequently recreate the harmony of summers past. While working together, Belly falls in love with Jeremiah, who she eventually chooses at the season’s end, despite a passionate confession from Conrad.
The decision left many fans disappointed and hopeful for a change of heart in season three.
